Travel to Parnu International Airport
Parnu isn’t much of a busy airport. It was established in 1937 as a military base. However, it was also used by the Soviet Air Force until the 90s; when it was turned to be a civil. Years later, it established to also accommodate international air carriers. It is also used for private and charter flights to other neighboring countries; since it is very suitable for private aviation. Such as parachuting clubs, and air cargo transports. Or those organizing open-air events.
The airport is located about three kilometers from the town of Parnu. The airfields both in Kinhu and Runhu Islands are part of the airports.
( this airport looks abandoned )
It usually handles flight to Runhu and Kinhu Islands on a regular basis. The main air carrier used for these flight is LUFTVERKEHR FRIESLAND-HARLE.
Adventuring in Estonia
What is a lovely wedding without a romantic travel destination? I’m talking about a dream honeymoon; somewhere where the ‘lands ends’. We all love grand wedding because they are ever nostalgic. It is the best time to have friends and family come together; to witness as two love birds become one. But what comes after the wedding seals the unions. I’m talking of some private time with your lover. Somewhere where you two share some lovely and romantic experiences; as well as forget that anything else exists in this world.
That was what I was looking for when I was planning to wed my lovely wife four years ago. I knew that we were constrained by the budget. This was because the wedding was to cost us much. But I still wanted to leave something to finance our honeymoon. I could have opted for Santorini, Greece; or maybe Bora Bora Islands. Perhaps even get lost somewhere in the city of love; like Paris, for a couple of weeks. But we were limited by finances. It was a co-worker who suggested that Estonia could be a lovely place. Yet it is very affordable. Upon a little research of some of the best travel guides; the likes of expedia; I knew that the place would never disappoint me.
A Romantic Travel Destination in Parnu
It was on the early days of the summer of 2012; that we graced the cool air of Estonia in Tallinn Airport aboard Air France. It had been an almost 12 or more hours of flight. We were tired, but most importantly we were excited. Excited about our beautiful wedding a few days ago. Also, about the lovely honeymoon; which was about to kick off. These were memories that we wanted much to treasure. It was a short distance from the airport to the city; where we had booked a one-day stay at a four-star hotel before we could take our bus to Parnu. Then eventually a flight to our travel destination in Ruhnu and Kinhu Islands, Estonia; our travel destination.
That evening, we had a romantic dinner at Kohvik MOON; where we ate some Russian cuisine. It was so yummy and exciting; actually it was my first time to taste Russian food. We wanted to have some experience of the nightlife in the city. But we decided against it; and instead went to rest for the day.
The following day we were at the bus station early in the morning; where we decided to travel to Parnu. The bus ride was a great one and there services were excellent. When we arrived in Parnu, we checked in at the hotel; where we were supposed to stay for the first 5 days as we toured the region.
It was a beautiful summer day
It would be a shame for us not to take a walk. Our first destination was Parnu Beach. The white sands beach was exciting and looked amazing. We met other visitors, mostly the locals; who had come to spend their day there. They were lovely and we played some mini golf with them. Later during the day we decided to take a romantic stroll along the beautiful beach promenade.
It was really romantic. I figured out that if we had made the walk at night; it would have been more romantic. Late in the afternoon we headed back to Parnu Jetty; where a beautiful walk in the sea. We admired the amazing views of the evening sunsets; which were first approaching.
A Town full of Amazing Culture and Heritage
That evening we had some fun and beautiful evening at Tervise Paradiis Water Park. Everything about the spa was amazing. I loved the sauna, their excellent service and the awesome staff. The views of the sea from the water park were wonderful too. The evening could not have been more romantic had we not tasted the nightlife of the place. We had a good time at UKs Buss; where we overstayed and realized it when it was past midnight. We then took a cab back to our hotel.
During our stay, I’d be glad to stay that everything was romantic there. We loved the culture and heritage of the locals there. I also appreciated the efforts of the locals; who helped me administer first aid and take my wife to the hospital when she tripped; while we were hiking. The staff at Parnu hospital was also kind and caring people. Even though my wife wasn’t much injured; they ensured that they carried the entire necessary test to ensure that she was fine.
The people of Kinhu and Ruhnu Island; where we also had a shorts visit were also lovely people. They were welcoming and hospitable. It was a great time for adventure and romance in those two beautiful islands. Everything was simply amazing. I also need to salute the staff at Parnu International Airport. As well as those at Kinhu Airfield and Ruhnu Airfield for their hospitality and professionalism; when we decided to travel between those islands on our stay at Parnu.
